WHY Use Matrix Cards ?
Ways to Use the Cards ?
Individual sessions

Use it as an entry point into their values, hooks, or stuck loops. Offer them a card to take home as a reminder.

Group sessions or workshops
Give each participant a card as an icebreaker.
Create a large matrix on the floor. Facilitate structured round-table discussions around each card’s questions.

Individual sessions
Lay out 5–6 selected cards (for example: Dirty Tricks, Hooks, Tension, Surf the Waves, Pause, Approach Actions).
Ask the client:
“If you had to choose the card that best represents your week, which would it be?”
This provides a quick, non-verbal entry point to open the session without the usual “How are you?”
